What age can I use Hush?

From birth, for sound, mist and light functions.

Use plain tap water for newborns, to hydrate and purify the air.

From 3 months, 2-9 drops of essential oil can be added to water chamber.

Does Hush operate all night?

Yes, this is a premium feature, that separates Hush from cheap vaporisers/humidifiers with a small water chamber.

When filled, Hush will produce mist for 12 hours on full/24 hours+ on intermittent.

Light and sound will continue to run, if water chamber runs empty.

Why Is Cool Mist Technology Better Than Steam?

A steamy sleep environment (over many hours) is no longer considered SIDS safe. Steam makes a room hot and stuffy and can create condensation (and eventually mould growth).

Ultrasonic cool mist technology (like Hush) does not change the temperature of the room. It simply changes tap water into mist, which disperses throughout the room and can be breathed through the nose and absorbed through the mouth and skin.

Note on steam therapy: if your child is congested, a short burst of steam (eg in a shower) can be very beneficial to clear nasal passages, and assist chest congestion. This is recommended for 10-15 minutes.

I Thought Steam Was Good For Congestion?

Yes, a short burst of steam in a hot shower or bath can relieve congestion. But a steamy environment is not recommended for hours and hours.

how does hush purify the air?

As well as being a cool mist vaporiser/humidifier (turning water into vapour), Hush is also an air purify.

This works via the ultrasonic technology, which produces health negative ions in the mist particles called "anions" that counteract positive "pollutant' ions, removing dust, germs and bacteria from the air you breathe.

What Essential Oils are Included?

Fill with 300ml tap water and 2-9 drops of pure essential oil, depending on health needs:

Baby Breathe - Healing blend ideal for young children, to promote restful sleep and respiratory health. Organic Lemon, Cedarwood, Scotch Pine, Sweet Majoram, Tea Tree and Lemongrass. Does not contain Eucalyptus.

Sweet Slumber - Peaceful blend of Lavender, Cedarwood, Non-Phototoxic Bergamot, Mandarin, Clary Sage, Roman Chamomile and Vetiver

It's important to read the labels and choose the highest quality natural product. Our essential oil blends are 100% pure, Australian made and certifed organic by ACARA.

As well as a pleasant aroma, the true power of our 100% pure essential oils is the positive reaction they have on the body when breathed through the nose and mouth, and absorbed through the skin.

We do not recommend using fragrant oil, fragrant essence or perfume essence - these are all synthetic blends, with no true plant material.

Can Essential Oils Be Used With Newborns?

Hush Cool Mist Vaporiser can be used with plain tap water for babies under 3 months to purify and humidify the air.

Essential oils NOT recommended for babies under 3 months.

Generally from 3 months, 1-3 drops of essential oil per 100ml of water.

Light and sound features of Hush can be used from birth.

What are the sound options?

Hush replaces the need for a separate sound machine.
