What Should I Pack in Nappy Bag?
Posted by Emma, Snotty Noses HQ on 24th Jan 2024
As a group of mothers here at Snotty Noses HQ, we've collectively weathered numerous parenting scenarios.
Beyond the fundamentals of nappies, dummies and wipes, there are a few additional items that should find their way into your nappy bag, ensuring you're well-prepared for any surprises while out and about with your little one.
The initial ventures out with your baby may leave you feeling a bit overwhelmed, but the experience is invaluable.
To make those outings smoother, consider these valuable additions to your nappy bag:
1. Snotty Boss: Efficient Nasal Care On-the-Go
Snotty Boss is our go-to solution for stress-free nasal care. Crafted with parents in mind, this easy-to-use device operates on powerful suction, effortlessly clearing blocked or runny nostrils in just 10 seconds.
Developed in collaboration with medical professionals, Snotty Boss ensures quick, easy, and safe suction wherever and whenever needed. Its compact, portable design effortlessly fits into your nappy bag, avoiding the stress of assembling loose parts each time you use it.
The kit comes with a hygienic lid and drawstring carry bag, to make it super-easy for travel.
BONUS TIP: Always take Snotty Boss on holidays. There's nothing worse than being away from home with a sick child, and scrambling to find a pharmacy for sniffle relief.
2. Sleep Comforter: An Underrated Essential
Often overlooked but undeniably essential, a sleep comforter can make a significant difference. Recognising that kids can easily become overwhelmed in new environments, especially with noise and chaos around them, having a special sleep blankie for your babe can offer comfort and relaxation wherever you go.
A sleep comforter has a familiar smell and touch to soothe your little one. We recommend buying 2 of the same type, to keep one at home and one in the nappy bag.
BONUS TIP: pop the comforter in your bra/shirt for 30 mins after each wash. It absorbs your unique smell, which offers further comfort to your baby.
3. Bug Balm: No Bad Buggies!
An often disregarded essential, our organic Bug Balm has become a staple for my kids. Bug bites can cause significant discomfort for our little ones, and a small application of the balm, even while they are crying, can provide distraction and initiate a calming effect.
This Australian-made bug balm is exceptional as it won't irritate or burn the skin like supermarket blends, and it is free from synthetic chemicals, petroleum, and turpentine. Suitable for children and adults aged 6 months and older.
Remember, it's better to be safe than sorry, especially with kids. It's not a matter of if you'll need these items but rather when. Prepare your nappy bag wisely, and embrace the unpredictability of parenting with confidence.
