What Is The Suction Strength?

How Much Snot Can Be Collected?

What Batteries Are Needed?
2 x AA - can be Alkaline or Rechargeable AAs. Average 500-700 uses or 120 minutes, depending on battery quality. We recommend removing batteries and storing in carry bag during periods of non-use.
Why Is Snotty Boss Not USB Rechargeable?
We've purposely kept Snotty Boss as a AA battery powered unit. USB rechargeable aspirators are not internally waterproof and the motor can't be flushed. If the USB charge point ingresses moisture, it will fail to operate. Parents must wait 1 -2 hours for the USB rechargeable unit to fully charge, before use. If a rechargeable unit is not recharged every 3 months, the lithium battery drops below critical voltage threshold (~2.5V) and will no longer have any recharge capacity, rendering the machine useless.
Do I Have To Use Saline Spray First?
If snot is dry and crusty, a few squirts of saline is recommended to loosen the snot for easier removal. Scan the QR code on the unit base for a homemade saline recipe.
What Is the Recipe for Home-made Saline?
Set aside 100ml of boiling water to cool in a glass container. Add 1g of fine grain iodine-free sodium chloride and mix. Do not use table salt, sea salt or rock salt, as it contains impurities and can irritate the nasal passage. Breastmilk is "Mother-nature's saline" and can be dispensed into spray bottle. Wash spray bottle thoroughly with warm water and cleaning brush (do not place in steriliser or dishwasher). Store in fridge, as discard after 48 hours.
